Bruce Dickinson’s 2027 European PsychoGod Tour

Bruce Dickinson will tour Europe with his own band again in 2027. Named PsychoGod, the tour will focus on the Iron Maiden frontman’s solo career and is expected to feature selections from his forthcoming material alongside songs from his previous solo albums.

According to the announcement, audiences can expect an extensive concert run divided into two legs. One significant development is that Swedish band Evergrey will perform at the year-end dates, while the PsychoGod name has also prompted speculation about the direction of a possible new album.

The PsychoGod tour runs from Belfast to Paris

According to Loudwire’s report, the 31-date concert run will begin in Belfast on 14 June 2027 and end in Paris on 10 December. The schedule therefore does not represent one continuous tour: following the summer performances, the tour will resume in autumn and winter.

The summer schedule may also include festivals, although for some events the exact day on which Dickinson will take the stage is not yet known. Anyone planning to travel for a particular festival should therefore wait until the daily line-up and on-site timetable have been published.

An official event page for the Finnish concert has already appeared on Live Nation Finland. It lists Helsinki’s Jäähalli Black Box as the venue and also includes Evergrey in the programme.

Evergrey will join the year-end leg

According to Blabbermouth’s report, Evergrey will perform as special guests at the November and December dates. This is an important clarification: the Swedish progressive metal band will not accompany Dickinson throughout the entire European tour.

Evergrey’s presence could also complement the headliner’s set musically. Both acts are rooted in heavy metal but also use more complex, darker and more atmospheric elements alongside traditional genre conventions. The year-end concerts may therefore offer more than a short support slot and a headline set, bringing together performances with a related atmosphere.

This part of the tour may be particularly appealing to those who enjoy a more progressive approach alongside Dickinson’s more traditional metal sound. However, the exact running order and door times for each evening should always be checked against information provided by the relevant venue.

New songs may be the concerts’ biggest surprise

The name PsychoGod could easily appear to be the title of a new album, but it should not yet be treated as confirmed fact. At present, it is certain that the tour carries this name; the title and precise release date of the new solo album are not known.

According to Loudwire, Dickinson previously indicated that his new solo material would have an extremely heavy sound. The publication links this to his 2027 plans but treats the connection between PsychoGod and the forthcoming album as a possibility rather than confirmed information.

Expectations have risen further because, according to Kerrang!, Iron Maiden bassist Steve Harris described the new material as being among the best things he had ever heard from Dickinson. That is strong praise from his bandmate, but it does not in itself reveal how many new songs will appear in the concert set.

For fans, this may be one of the tour’s greatest attractions. A live debut of a new song could provide a more immediate sense of the forthcoming material’s character than a title or short preview, particularly if the compositions genuinely represent a heavier sound.

The solo band is not an Iron Maiden imitation

Dickinson’s solo concerts should not be regarded as smaller Iron Maiden shows. His solo career provides scope for his own songs, different arrangements and another approach to structuring a set, so the PsychoGod tour may offer something new even to those who regularly see the singer perform with Iron Maiden.

According to the line-up published by Blabbermouth, Chris DeClercq and Philip Näslund play guitar, Tanya O’Callaghan plays bass, Dave Moreno plays drums and Mistheria plays keyboards. Together with Dickinson, the five musicians form a line-up in which the keyboards may play a prominent role alongside the two guitars.

This is particularly relevant to the solo repertoire. Dickinson’s solo work includes traditional heavy metal, compositions with more complex structures and more atmospheric sounds, requiring the band to cover a broad sonic range. The new songs may further alter the balance of the set.

Dickinson will have a busy year alongside Iron Maiden

According to Kerrang!, Dickinson will perform in North America with Iron Maiden in spring 2027 before returning to European stages with his solo project later in the year. Placing the two concert runs side by side demonstrates how differently his band and solo work function for him.

Iron Maiden’s shows are shaped by a shared body of work spanning several decades and a production designed for large arenas. By contrast, the solo tour may offer a more flexible setting for rarely heard compositions, songs drawn from deeper in the catalogue and trials of new material.

The busy schedule does not, however, mean that the two acts will merge into one another. The PsychoGod tour’s distinct identity, dedicated band and expected inclusion of some new repertoire underline that Dickinson’s solo career is a separate creative field.

What should you check before buying tickets?

The tour spans several months and includes different types of venues, so it is advisable to check the official event page for the relevant concert before buying tickets. The venue, start time, support act and sales schedule may vary between dates.

  • Evergrey: according to the published information, the Swedish band will appear only on the November and December leg.
  • Festivals: for multi-day events, the final day of Dickinson’s performance should be checked separately.
  • PsychoGod: this is confirmed as the tour’s name, but an album with the same title has not yet been announced.
  • New album: there have been reports of forthcoming solo material, but its precise release date is not known.
  • Set: the final setlist cannot be predicted with certainty in advance, so fans’ expectations should be distinguished from the announced details.

A tour that may connect two eras

The PsychoGod concert run may both look back at Dickinson’s previous solo work and prepare the next chapter of his career. The confirmed elements are the European dates, the solo band and Evergrey’s guest appearances at the end of the year; the biggest question is how the new songs will feature.

For metal fans, the most interesting surprise may therefore not be a high-profile guest or a one-off stage trick. Far more significant is likely to be how Dickinson incorporates the forthcoming compositions, promised to be heavier, into a solo set spanning several eras. If that happens as early as 2027, the PsychoGod tour may be not only a retrospective but also the live opening of a new creative era.
